ValueMentor is looking for Proposal Writers to manage and develop multiple proposals simultaneously, ensure the proposal is compliant, compelling, and persuasive in accordance with the solicitation, all referenced documents, and company standards.

Leveraging knowledge of company services, support and technology; this position will interact directly with our global sales teams to produce world class sales proposals worldwide. The objective of this role is to produce consistent, imaginative, and professional proposals for the sales organization that differentiates ValueMentor from our competitors.

Job Responsibilities of Proposal Writer

  • Lead the design, development, completion, and delivery of proposals
  • Accountable for creating and delivering a winning proposal for each assigned opportunity and ensuring full compliance with RFP/RFI/RFQ requirements and responding on a timely basis.
  • Work with our global sales teams to produce opportunity level proposals.
  • Manage end-to-end projects, including scheduling, status updates and timelines.
  • Keep proposal content current with changes in the market and latest service releases.
  • Bring ideas and creativity on how to improve the team’s effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Participate in ongoing continuous improvement of the proposal development process, as well as maintenance of databases

Skills Required for Proposal Writer

  • Must have 2-3 years of business writing experience, ideally within a sales or marketing organization
  • Proposal writing experience with excellent writing/editing capabilities, strong analytical/research skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to subdivide parts of a system or approach and understand, explain, and present those parts within a proposal document
  • Skilled in self-management, balancing competing priorities, and working against multiple deadlines
  • Effective in clearly articulating complex technical solutions and consolidating multiple streams of input into a cohesive and readable narrative
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality deliverables in a virtual team environment
  • Excellent Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and Adobe skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain working files and revisions of documents
  • Ability to handle and use constructive feedback to make needed changes to proposals
  • Team player with the proven ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours
  • Great writing, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to grasp both technical and business concepts.
  • Ability to communicate complex information from the highest executive level to the front-line sales teams.

Education Qualification for Proposal Writer

  • Bachelor’s degree.
